CODECH's Women Producer coffee is a special program. The coffees in this lot come from 100% women-owned or managed farms. Producers receive a premium for having their lots selected for this special offer, and the premiums are used in part by the women of CODECH to support community health programs. Half of the premium is used for a health workshop for women in the Concepcion Huista community, which has a high infant mortality rate. CODECH (Coordinator of Organizations for the Development of Concepcion Huista) is a second-tier organization based in the Concepcion Huista community in the Huehuetenango department of Guatemala.
